Death Cab For Cutie

Transatlanticism is one of those albums that fans hold very close to their heart and will always be a classic. I hand carved the big "Transatlanticism" gloss background to give the feeling of it engulfing oneself. Then i chose to hand carve a crow - the iconic symbol for the album, as the heart under the prominent rib cage carved and printed over everything. The red yarn sewn through the rib cage meeting the crow heart was a nod to the actual album cover.
